Sharing Midlife Stories
Lisa Battalia is an attorney and writer. She worked as the lead Title IX attorney for the US Department of Education’s Office of the General Counsel for many years before taking time to raise her two kids. She is now working with a consortium of professional STEMM societies to help them advance a more inclusive and equitable culture and climate for women in the sciences.
Telling her own story of MIDLIFE TRANSITION has made Lisa believe that many of us in MIDLIFE have stories to share. We have been challenged; we’ve had to adjust; we’ve made remarkable transitions — small and large — to emerge hopeful and changed. A metamorphosis of sorts. She created this space to share our stories; for in sharing there is connection, support and COMMUNITY!
Lisa has written and published three novels and many short stories which can be found at www.lisabattalia.com. Her most recent novels are a two-book series called “A Midlife Romance.” Book 1: Awake and Book 2: Second Chances. Find them on amazon.com. She recently made a bold change in her life to move cross country and start a new life on Whidbey Island, Washington.
